Joyce Berry - You Gave Me A New Heart Lyrics
A stony heart is broken and meltedBy the touch of the Master's hand,And a new heart is imparted within'When the Lord delivers a man.His dark spirit is now alive and new,Enabled to keep God's command,Cleansed from every idol and filthiness'By the touch of the Master's hand,So you will never end the day when you're of a bad mind.Don't think that you're just time awaySo we must be close to each other and just be thankful and kind.Chorus:You gave me a new heartWhen this old heart of mine was broken into piecesAnd now I need you by my sideSo we must be kind to each other, for life is so short; You gave me a new heartWhen this old heart of mine was torn into piecesAnd now I need you close to meSo we must be loving, loyal and thoughtful. Can't you see that we must have a good heart?A new creature now praises the Savior,A taste of heaven's joyful shore 'Sins removed as far as east is from west'Never remembered anymore. What a privilege to serve the Master,Rejoicing as never before'Oh, praise His precious name for A New Heart 'A taste of heaven's joyful shore. You will never be sorry you said the good word; There is nothing sadder than a word not spoken... the word not heard.Repeat ChorusOnce I was half a woman, but then you made me wholeWhen I was half a girl,You made me whole and gave me a new heartNow my life is complete,So we can stick togetherAs we remember the good things, the fine younger yearsAnd recall of the past, the grace of our peers.Repeat Chorus and fade
