Molly Hatchet - Saddle Tramp Lyrics
Well, I pulled out of canyon countyGreat cradle of the westMy mama and me and one lone dogTryin to do our bestStrangers all around meSaid none knew my nameI came to take back this landI came to stake my claim, yes sirThe farm is all Ive ever knowIt bears my family nameBut, damn, my brother got drunk one nightAnd lost it all in a poker gameShots rang through the silenceI heard the angels cryYou never arrive a winner a saint or a sinnerThe boy said aces high(chorus)Saddletramp youre back in actionLookin for the man that took my brotherI came to put him downSaddletramp you spend your whole lifeRunnin like the wind....going for the bounty butRiding for the thrillMama died of a broken heartThe way myy brother threw his life awayBut when they put him in the groundIt like to kill me just the sameHalf past the hour of midnightI looked into the killers eyesI pulled my 45 and bullets started flyinThe man he had to die(chorus) 2xEverytime you take a life,The devils watching youHell fill you with a pack of liesAnd hell steal your soul from you......i say
