Lynyrd Skynyrd - Trust Lyrics
(allen collins -- gary rossington -- ronnie vanzant)Id like to tell yall a storyAbout a friend of mineWho liked to drink good whiskey, oh lordAnd have a real good timeHis woman, you know she left himAnd stole that boys brand new carAnd ran out of town with a guitar pickerSaid he gonna be a superstarSure you are(chorus)You cant alway trust your womanYou cant always trust your best friendBeware of the ones that you need yallcause those might be the ones that do you inDont talk no stuff to no slickerDont tell your feelings to your friendDont tell your woman that you love her, becauseThats when your trouble beginsThere are many ladies here among usThatll stab you in the back when you aint aroundThere are many, so many of your very best friendsThatll kick you in the head when you are downYes they will(chorus)Dont you backtalk the policecause its his job to put you in the jailTheyll lock you up, boy and throw away the keyAnd your best friend wont even go your bailThere are many slickers here among usThat are all dressed up in suits and tiesBut dont you show your pain, lord in front of themcause if you do you kiss yourself goodbye, alright(chorus)
