Incubus - On The Burial Ground Lyrics
Die by violence in this worldIs nothing strange for usWith all those chemicals, wars and destructionsWe do not know mother nature has in store for usThe race for economy makes people forgetThe lives around this planetAs men become more egoistPretty soon there will be nothing in this worldFor men to spare[Pre-chorus:]Stupidity, causing painAnd sicknessTo our worldSuffer[Chorus:]On the burial groundIs what this planet is all aboutIt's where we are right nowWe might not have any future to be foundOn this burial groundWe have nowhere to hideDeath is laughing at our criesAnd now we are feeling the effectsThat the forces of nature has broughtThe droughts, Earthquakes, volcanic eruptionsIt's gettin worse than even beforeWe can see the revenge of this planet upon usAs we keep hurting the seaThe soil and the airSometimes some catastrophic accidents happenCausting death rate and we wounder from wherePeople are dying in civilization of different landsBecause of the droughtOccurences of flooding everywhereKilling innocent people and leaving others in despairAbomination because people fear that all these eventsHappen without any warning killing unexpectedlyMen subjugate the forces of natureBut we don't know that it's destroying us slowlyThe animals are becoming extinctSeas and rivers polluted by toxic wasteCombustible smokeFactories are creating acid rainsThat is burning our skinsDamaging plantationsAnd soon it will bring us to deathAir pollution is disintegrating our atmosphereAllowing the ultra-violet rays to burn the earthAnd to provoke us fear[Repeat chorus][Lead]Soon some of the lives on this planetWon't exist anymoreBecause we won't be able to recreateSome of the beauty thta we had beforeNobody seems to careAbout the future of our children's civilizationsWe better act nowSo they won't have a life of torment and frustration[Repeat pre-chorus, chorus]Cursed by men this world has becomeWe are building our own tombsBy eliminating our source of lifeWhen blindly we continue the destructionsThere's no futureDay by day we are reaching the end of our lives
